This international conference on how to manage seal resources and interactions in the Baltic Sea and North Atlantic - was organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers in cooperation with NAMMCO and others. The Seals and Society conference was held between 16-18 October 2007 in Wasa, Finland.
NAMMCO held an expert meeting on possible health effects of consumption of marine mammal oils in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 3, 2007.

Trans North Atlantic Sightings Survey - T-NASS - the fieldwork for the NAMMCO coordinated T-NASS 2007 survey began mid-June and extended through mid-August 2007.
The 16th Annual Meeting of NAMMCO Council was held 27th February - 1st March 2007 at the Rica Ishavshotel in Tromsø, Norway.
The four member countries of NAMMCO - the Faroes, Greenland, Iceland and Norway – agreed on a number of specific matters related to the conservation, management and study of seal, walrus and whale stocks in the North Atlantic. The meeting was also attended by observers from the governments of Canada, Japan and Denmark and representatives from a number of inter-governmental and non-governmental organisations.
