September 15, 2017: Behind NAMMCO – the Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee (SC) is one of three major committees in NAMMCO (along with the Committee on Hunting Methods and the Committee on Inspection and Observation). The work of the SC is important for stock assessment, and providing management advice on quota and research needs to the member countries.  Much of the work of the SC is done in various Working Groups. Next year will mark the SC’s 25 year Jubilee, and the scientists involved in the SC’s work over the years will be in the “Behind NAMMCO” series throughout 2018.
