12 June 2024: The report of the May meeting of the Committee on Inspection and Observation is now available!
The Committee on Inspection and Observation (CIO) of NAMMCO has released its latest report. The report summarises the latest CIO meeting held online on the 16th of May 2024 and chaired by Ulla S. Wang (Faroe Islands).
During the meeting, the Committee continued the evaluation of past observation activities and started outlining the plan to evaluate the efficiency of the NAMMCO Observation Scheme, as well as the appropriate methodology to make these activities more effective. In this process, the Committee agreed to consult with relevant parties, including observers, hunters, local authorities, and other stakeholders, to gather feedback and recommendations for improving the observation efforts.
