NAMMCO-ICES Seal Modelling Workshop

The aim of this workshop, jointly organised by NAMMCO and ICES, is to revise and improve the seal population assessment models used for harp and hooded seals. The workshop will compare approaches used by different research teams for modelling populations of a range of northern phocid species with similar life histories, focusing on species for which abundance estimates are fundamentally based on pup counts. The workshop will take place online with 3 plenary meetings over 3 days and time allocated for regional sub-groups to workshops the models in between these plenary sessions.
