10 June 2026: The report of the May meeting of the Committee on Hunting Methods is now available!

NAMMCO has released the report from the Committee on Hunting Methods meeting held online on 13 May 2026 and chaired by Ulla S. Wang (Faroe Islands).

NAMMCO has published the report of the Committee on Hunting Methods (CHM/2026-02), presenting the outcomes of its latest meeting and ongoing work to improve practices in marine mammal hunting. The report highlights continued efforts to advance shared terminology on animal welfare and to support the Committee’s work through the development of new training materials for hunters, which have previously been very well received. It also reflects the Committee’s focus on increasing collaboration with hunters to ensure that practical experience is incorporated into its work.
