Workshop: Spatial and space-time models for whale surveys with complex and non-systematic designs

The goals of this workshop are to discuss methods, best practices, and software choices for the spatial analysis of line transect data for whales, in cases where the survey design did not follow conventional approaches (e.g., co-platform surveys). Case studies, including data from the NASS 2024 project, will be presented and investigated during the meeting. The workshop will be hosted by the Institute for Marine Research in Tromsø.
