Event Details

The NAMMCO Scientific Committee (SC) is convening their 24th meeting between 14-17 November 2017 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

This year the SC will review the reports of the working groups on Large Whale Assessment, NAMMCO-JCNB (Narwhal & Beluga), and By-Catch. The SC will also review the reports from the Global Review of Monodontids workshop, and a workshop, “Cetacean abundance and distribution in the North Atlantic” that will be held at the Society for Marine Mammalogy conference.

The SC also hears updates on the status and current research for all marine mammal populations in the North Atlantic each year.

The meeting is open only to members of the SC, and invited observers and participants.
